“Unfailing Love” is a dance production inspired by “Beauty for Ashes”, a performance that depicted the dark and horrific reality of human trafficking. Men, women, adults and children are abused and trapped into forced labor or sexual exploitation. They are held captive through the use of force, threats, fraud or coercion.
In this sequel, victims of human trafficking who have been removed from their place of captivity face a process of restoration ahead of them. Some experience tremendous fear, anxiety, doubt, confusion and insecurity about their future, having normal relationships, marriage, having children, etc. Some experience nightmares and horrible images from their past that play in their minds like an endless movie. Some may face social rejection which hinders their complete integration into the society around them. One of these factors or a combination of factors may even drive an individual back to the very same lifestyle of darkness and prostitution that they have been rescued from because they don’t know how to integrate back into a “normal” lifestyle after being traumatized in their captivity. If there isn’t anyone they can trust and rely on to help walk them through their entire process of restoration they may remain captive the rest of their lives physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
God is able to redeem and restore any person and situation no matter how seemingly impossible it may seem. However, He co-labors with His people in His plans for redemption. God’s people are invited to lay down their lives and be Jesus in the flesh to victims of human trafficking so that He can bring about the fullness of restoration in a person’s life.
